Chairmans Welcome
It is with both pride and pleasure that I welcome our friends, neighbours, visitors, players, club members, and indeed the community at large, to Manulla Soccer Club . Our 2019 season saw our club reaching new levels of achievement & development, from our ladies’ team reaching the All Ireland Finals of the WFAI Club Shield to the great individual and team performances of our Senior Men’s and U18 men’s teams, both reaching Connaught Cup Finals. We also had great success with many other youth teams. It was a great tribute to our squads and management, for all the very hard work put in during the season.
Our ambition for the coming seasons is to further develop a winning and inclusive culture throughout the club. We aspire to win every competition we compete in this year, from our senior teams through to our young boys & girls from 18 years of age and below. We strive to do all this, while living our mission for inclusion, fairness and fun.
To our Club Managers & Coaches, Captain`s & Squads, Referees and Assistant Referees, I extend my thanks for the past, and best wishes for another very successful Season ahead.
I want to also state our ambition to grow and develop our youth academy. In early 2020 we intend rolling out coaching workshops to everybody wishing to part take. Working closely with our Executive Committee & members of the FAI, I am confident that our entire coaching team, we will continue to grow and develop within our community.
I would like to offer a very special word of thanks to each and every one of our sponsors. This year, like every other year, we have exciting programs and projects which need funding, and we always welcome sponsorship from companies who are aligned to our ethos and goals. If you feel that your company could partner with us, then let us know. email chairpersonmanullafc@outlook.com
Finally, the biggest thanks of all goes to those unsung heroes of the club who give of their time and services freely to our cause. From taxi service to babysitting, cutting the lawns to painting the walls, making the cups of tea and bidding people a sincere welcome. These acts of solidarity and commitment allow us to grow and develop.
As a Club we are intensely proud of our heritage and the contribution the Club has made, and continues to make, to the local community. Over the past number of years, the club has developed considerably and we look forward with confidence and optimism to a very successful future.
I wish everyone another successful season and all the best for the year ahead.
